The following is a list of employees that work for the County Engineer

Randolf Germann, P.E., P.S.          ——  County Engineer

Randy has been County Engineer ever since taking office in 1993.  Randy received his Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from the Indiana Institute of Technology and his Master’s in Civil Engineering from the University of Toledo.  He is a former member of the U.S. Air Force and member of the American Legion.  Before becoming County Engineer in 1993, Randy was the ODOT Deputy Director, in charge of District 2.

Timothy Schumm, P.E., S.I.  ——  Assistant Engineer

Patrick McColley, E.I.       ——  Highway Engineer

Patrick joined the County Engineer’s Office in January of 2008.  Patrick is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.

Ronald Wentling, P.S.       ——  County Surveyor

Ron has been employed in the County Engineer’s Office since 1979.  Ron is a graduate of Stautzenberger College and is a registered Land Surveyor by the State of Ohio.  He performs surveys for the Engineer’s Office and maintains the Section Corners, Benchmarks and G.I.S. monuments located throughout Henry County.

Dave Kretzer      ——  Tax Map Draftsman

Dave has been with Henry County since 1979.  Dave’s main responsibility is maintaining the official county tax maps for the County Auditor, these maps are also frequently used by surveyors, title searchers, attorneys, and the general public.  Dave lives with his wife Christy and two children; Mackenzie and Cody.

A graduate of BGSU, Nancy joined the Engineer’s office in April, 1995.  Her responsibilities include checking deed descriptions for transfer, maintaining the County’s bridge, culvert and road files and survey records.

Steve Knipp       ——  County Bridge Inspector

A resident of Ridgeville Township, Steve has been with the county since 1985. His main responsibility is the annual inspection of Henry County’s bridges. He also drafts many of the county’s construction plans.

Larry Hohenberger    ——  Garage Superintendant

Tim has been employed by the Henry County Engineer’s Office since 2007.  Tim is a graduate of the University of Toledo with a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering.  He is also a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio
