This office is responsible for the construction and maintenance of 406 miles of county roads and 295 county bridges.  We also supervise the tax map department and contract with Henry County Soil and Water District for ditch maintenance.

New Maumee River Bridge Public Dig Days


On April 7, 14 and 21, 2018 from 10 am to 2 pm, the public is invited to be involved in an archeological dig at the location of the proposed new Maumee River bridge in Napoleon along SR 110 west of Road 12.  Come get dirty and have fun learning about the amazing Native American history of the Maumee Valley!  For those interested, meet at the Henry County Engineer’s Office at 1823 Oakwood Avenue.  You will be bussed to the site.  Busses will leave from the parking lot approximately every 30 minutes.  Liability waivers will need to be signed to participate.  Dates are weather permitting.  If you have any questions, please contact Tim Schumm at 419-592-2976 or tschumm@henrycountyengineer.com .  Reservations encouraged but not required.
